Travel by Bus and Shuttles
Patras bus station is only a short walk from the ferry terminal at Patras Port and there are regular KTEL departures from here to Athens every 30 minutes and to other Greek destinations throughout the day. Eurolines also serves Patras bus station and runs to and from destinations Europe-wide.
Car Hire and Road Travel
Although located right on the northwestern edge of western Greece, Patras is easily accessible by road from Athens. The 8A motorway runs direct to Patras from Athens, a distance of 209 km / 130 miles and achievable in two to three hours.

Travel by Train
Patras train station is also a short walk from Patras Port and frequent services go direct to Athens in about 4 hours. Trains also run south to Kalamata.
Car Parking
There is a car park at the port with short-term and long-term parking spaces available as well as designated parking for disabled drivers. You can also park your vehicle on the main street behind the port for a short time.
Travel by Taxis
Taxis are available at the ferry terminal although the city centre is only a short walk from the port. If you take a taxi to a Patras hotel, always agree on the price before getting in the vehicle.
